Night Sky Photography
This last summer I had the opportunity to be part of a virtual astronomy camp led by the astronomy teacher at my school. Although it was virtual compared to previous years where it was held at Pine Mountain Observatory, I still was lucky enough to participate in many different projects involving astronomy. One of these projects was using a DSLR camera to shoot night sky photography. I was invited by my mentor, Michael McKeag, to go to his property near Mosier, Oregon, and spend the night taking photographs of astronomical monuments that aren't visible in Portland. Presented are just a few of the many photographs that I shot during the camp.
